New Begonias -2-

FG Upright Type 06-25
Shape of a flower, shape of petals and colouration are the keys to describe a flower of tuberous Begonias.
This variety is called 'ruffled', because it has ruffled petals.

MV Upright Type 07-6
This flower is almost pure white except that the outer surface of its petal bears a faint shade of pink. It's quite easy to breed varieties with neutral coloured flowers, but we find it very hard to breed the plants with pure white, yellow or dark black flowers. An attempt to breed a pure-coloured variety can easily leads to close crossbreeding, and that results in very weak descendants. In case of neutral-coloured varieties, however, we hardly encounter that kind of trouble in crossbreeding.
