Brugmansia versicolor

Today we show you Brugmansia versicolor in the Garden.

A tree of B. versicolor.
Recently, the tree bears 30cm long orange flowers not only on its top but also everywhere, attracting visitors and making them stop before it a while.

Closeup of the tree.

The flowers are white shortly after they open, then they turn light to deep orange as time goes by.

Incidentally, in the family Solanaceae, both Brugmansia and Datura are called "Angel's Trumpet". How shall we tell the difference?

It's very easy;Datura are herbs with upright flowers, whereas Brugmansia are trees with pendulous flowers.
